Hiring a photographer can be a big task on your wedding day.  Besides the research that you have to do and considerable amounts of referral from your trusted source, its not a mystery why you can be stressed looking for the right photographer.

Here’s our quick info on what items you should look for when hiring your photographer.

Samples – Seasoned or Not, photographers have a way of showing you the good stuff, either in an album, photos, or e-albums, you can tell how he/she shoots a wedding and differentiate styles that you might be looking for.

Customer Service – determine what items he/she provides besides recording the moments of your day.  Ask if he/she will take part on your rehearsal, time planning event, and other important items that will make your wedding day seamless.

License and Insurance – Believe it or not, one of your vendors other than you florist, will be asking if your photographer carries liability insurance.  Just to be protected on both ends, be sure to ask.

Turn-Around Time – The average turn around time for an established photographer can vary.  Ask?  The normal time we’ve seen is 3 months to turn over the highlighted services and products to you.

Products – What kind of product do they offer and guarantee?  Albums, Canvas. etc… Ask?

Personality – Determine from a person-to-person meet-up if he/she will be the right one.  Ask for references and of course history.

These tips will serve as a guide to equip you with the knowledge when you set your sights on your next photographer.  After all, they are not just a wedding photographer.  They can be your family photographer too and best friend!
